We decided back in July to line the inside of the cabin with old fence pickets. We didn't have time to do anything with it at the time and some pickets we found from a neighbor turned out to be a bust because they were pre-assembled panels that would not come apart without breaking the picket.
A friend told us about their neighbor who lost their fence in a recent wind storm and said we could have it. We picked it up on Saturday started taking it apart on Sunday morning and by 2:00 we had one end cut and ready to install. The owner built the fence himself years ago and we only lost about 10 pickets out of what we were given. Looks like we got about 220 pickets out of the work we did. We are painting a few of them just to give a different look and add a little color.
